PYP Makers Market – A Celebration of Craft and Creativity

At Trinity School Lahore, entrepreneurship isn’t just a buzzword — it’s a mindset we nurture from the earliest years. This year’s PYP Makers Market held on the 14th of May, led by our brilliant Grade 4 and 5 learners, was not only a showcase of innovation and creativity but a proud culmination of a year-long entrepreneurial journey.

From the very start of the academic year, students were immersed in the fundamentals of enterprise — from product research and design thinking to branding, strategy, and customer service. The Makers Market gave them the platform to bring it all to life.

Students created their own mini-businesses, complete with logos, product packaging, and marketing plans. They learned to think critically about product development and growth, created pricing strategies, and even calculated break-even points. In the process, they gained hands-on experience with financial literacy, pitching, customer interaction, and sales — all essential skills in the modern world.

The event was nothing short of electric. Parents, staff, and fellow students flooded the market, buying everything from handmade accessories to art and  edible treats The booths were vibrant, professionally presented, and run with a sense of confidence that reflected the learners’ young age.

Most remarkable of all was the spirit of giving. In true Trinity tradition, our young entrepreneurs chose to donate a portion of their profits to local charities — a gesture that reflects our values of Empathy, Excellence, and Endeavor.

The Makers Market is more than just an event — it is the celebration of applied learning, where knowledge meets action, and skills are transformed into meaningful experiences. At Trinity, we are proud to be raising the next generation of thinkers, doers, and changemakers.
