Trinity School Lahore, (an IB PYP candidate school) proudly hosted its first PYP 5 Exhibition and Graduation Ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the life of our PYP learners. The PYP Exhibition is the culminating experience of the entire PYP journey—an opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning, personal growth, and readiness to transition into the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
Guided by the transdisciplinary theme Sharing the Planet, our PYP 5 learners engaged in a rigorous 8-weeks long, student-led, collaborative inquiry into the central idea: Human choices affect the future of the planet. With voice, choice, and ownership at the forefront, learners investigated diverse global issues such as artificial intelligence, climate change, overconsumption of natural resources, refugee crises, children’s rights, and sustainable cities.
Through a rigorous process of inquiry, students honed their Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, including research, thinking, communication, self-management, and social skills. They also exemplified key IB Learner Profile attributes—being principled, reflective, open-minded, caring, and knowledgeable global citizens.
On the day of the exhibition, learners confidently presented their conceptual understandings, actions, and reflections to the school community, demonstrating deep engagement, critical thinking, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Their presentations reflected authentic learning and meaningful action the core of PYP philosophy.
The event concluded with a joyful graduation ceremony, celebrating the successful completion of the PYP journey and symbolizing a new beginning as learners step into the MYP with the skills, mindset, and values nurtured throughout their time in PYP.
This was not just an academic celebration—it was a proud moment that honored our students’ growth as internationally minded individuals, capable of making a positive difference in the world.
