Trinity School hosted a 3-day long literary event titled “Beyond the Words”. The week-long festivities consisted of storytelling sessions, where students and teachers, including Ms. Ayesha Zaigham (Cambridge Head), Ms. Maimoona Imtiaz Alam (Cambridge Coordinator), and Ms. Humaira Bhutto (Urdu instructor, Cambridge and American High School), shared stories that transported listeners to different worlds. The Open Mic showcased students’ self-expression as they recited poetry and sang songs. Furthermore, the Book Fair offered a diverse collection of titles for all ages.
One of the most unique highlights was the Human Library, where students dressed as their favorite book characters and shared their stories, bringing literary icons to life. The week also included a collective pause with Drop Everything and Read (DEAR), where the entire school immersed themselves in books for 30 minutes. Acclaimed author Huda Imtiaz also conducted a Writing Workshop for Middle School students to inculcate emotions and creativity into their writing.
The festivities reached a colorful peak with the Character Parade, as students paraded through the school dressed as beloved literary figures. Finally, the Free Expression Wall became a canvas of inspiration, filled with quotes, thoughts, and messages from students, staff, and faculty.
Literary Week was a celebration of stories, creativity, and the shared love of literature. It reminded us that books are not just pages—they are gateways to imagination, connection, and endless possibilities.
