International Women’s Day Celebrations 2025

International Women’s Day Celebrations 2025

In honor of International Women’s Day, Trinity School hosted a series of inspiring events under the name of “Empower Hour” from Monday, 3rd to Thursday, 6th March, showcasing the remarkable contributions of women across various fields. The festivities featured engaging talks led by exceptional women, namely Roshanay Zafar (Director Kashaf Foundation), Nayyab Bukhari (Orthodontist), and ASP Shehrbano Naqvi, who shared their experiences and insights, encouraging our students to pursue their dreams and break barriers.

According to the Head of School, Mr. Taimur Bandey, “One of the core philosophies of the school would be that it would be a safe space for women. A safe space not just in terms of what they want to wear, what they want to do, but how they want to act, what they want to plan”. This commitment was shown through a unique twist on Wednesday, which featured a talk from the male members of our school management team, who emphasized the crucial role men play in supporting women’s rights and initiatives. The discussion centered on allyship and the importance of creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

The school gates at Trinity have been named after some of the most inspiring women in Pakistan, namely Ruth Pfao, Bapsi Sidhwa, Bilquis Edhi, Bano Qudsia and Madam Noor Jehan. In honor of these remarkable women, the students carried out multiple activities in class to commemorate their achievements and contributions.

This week of events not only celebrated the achievements of women but also fostered a culture of support and collaboration within our school community. As we reflect on these powerful talks, we are reminded of our commitment to gender equality and the importance of supporting one another in our journeys.

Thank you to all our speakers and participants for making this International Women’s Day celebration a resounding success! Together, we can continue to inspire and empower future generations.
