PYP 2 students at Trinity School Lahore recently showcased their understanding of healthy choices under the theme How We Organize Ourselves.
Their unit culmination highlighted a rich exploration of health and well-being, including creative inquiry on food pyramids, healthy food plates, and bar graphs based on a canteen survey they conducted. Learners even made a “traffic light signal” to reflect what they would stop, reduce, or continue in their diets and routines, encouraging mindful habits, taking real life action.
The event also focused trans-disciplinary connections with other subject groups like Math, Art, Music, PHE and Urdu. The development of Urdu language through healthy choices, a lively song performance on choices we make, by our talented students, and a PSPE session where parents, teachers, and students exercised together advocating healthy lifestyle choices. This unit’s learning journey concluded with an engaging task where students took the lead in guiding parents through sorting healthy and unhealthy foods.
Throughout, our young learners demonstrated the IB attributes of being balanced learners, truly taking ownership of their learning and sharing their knowledge with the community.
