21 February, 2025
This past Monday, on the 17th of February, the PYP students from grades 1-5 had their first annual sports day held in the backfield ground of Trinity School. Our young ones participated with incredible enthusiasm and represented their house colors with pride throughout the day across all games and activities. A brief Olympic style oath taking ceremony took place to uphold the values of fair play and dedication, before the iconic ‘Trinity torch’ was lifted to declare the games open! Students competed in an array of different events including Pyramid race, Ball collecting race, Basketball dribbling race, and Taekwondo to name a few. We are immensely proud of the charisma and talent that was put on display by all our student athletes.
All these events demanded weeks of training, commitment, and sheer discipline on part of the children and their mentors alike. Every victory brought joy unlike anything to our students and invited resounding applause from the parents and teachers sitting in the audience. To make things a little more exciting, parents were then called onto the ground to take part in some special races organized just for them!
Our guest of honor for the day was Ms. Uzma Yousaf Zaidi – Head of sports at FCCU and Visiting faculty of sports sciences at University of Punjab. Along with our head of school – Mr. Taimur Bandey, she bestowed medals upon the winners and runner ups at the closing ceremony to cap off a delightful day!
